• Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) offers both international and domestic flights. This airport is located about 30 minutes from our hotel.

Tobías Bolaños Airport (SYQ) offers domestic flights within Costa Rica. It is a smaller domestic airport and is located about 15 minutes from our hotel. 

• Best option if you are traveling as a large group or if you'd prefer to travel with ease.
• Shared shuttles (Interbus or Caribbean Shuttle) will bring you between hotel to hotel within more popular destinations like Guanacaste and Monteverde. No need to worry about car rentals, driving directions or getting lost! This is a popular, safe and slightly more economical way to travel within Costa Rica.
• You'll travel and see the countryside in an air-conditioned coaster or minibus shared with 5-14 other travelers onboard.
• Shuttle routes operate daily, run on a set schedule, pick up at certain hotels and are subject to availability. Typically, they offer one departure time in the morning, and one departure time in the afternoon.

• Let us help you rent a car. We can recommend car rental companies with the highest standards of quality and service. We generally recommend a 4x4 vehicle for travel throughout the country.
• Ask us about driving in Costa Rica. Main highways are safe, very well-maintained and sign posted. However, in some locations, you may encounter difficult road conditions, or a lack of road signs or street numbers. Let us know you'll be driving. We can help you plan the safest route.
• We recommend the Waze App when driving in Costa Rica. A good road map works just as well. Along with these tools and an adventurous, positive attitude, you can successfully get wherever you want and see more of Costa Rica!
